The Property Information Reporter allows you
to retrieve information for a property. It replaces the previously used Parcel Information Reporter application and the previously used Fire Assessment application by combining information presented in both into one application. It provides the ability to make maps using any combination of available layers and of any area within the City. For instance, you may choose to make a map of house numbers using a Homeowners Association (neighborhood) as the map boundary.
To view information for a property, simply input
an address or graphically select a property. Successful
address queries and property selections will return
the following information:
- Property Owner
- City Commissioner
- Homeowners Association
- Police District
- Fire Station
- Garbage Pickup Schedule
- Yard Waste Schedule
- Bulk Trash Schedule
- Recycling Pickup Schedule
- City Zoning
- County Zoning
- Hurricane Evacuation Zone Designation
- Enterprise Zone Designation
- FEMA Flood Zone
- Designated Schools (Elementary,
Middle & High)
- State of Florida House Representative
- State of Florida
Senator
- US House Representative
If you have questions concerning use of the Property
Information Reporter, please contact the City's
GIS Section at GIS@fortlauderdale.gov.

The Building Permit Locator is a web-based application that allows the user to search for certain types of building permits that have been issued within the past 36 months. Generally, the permits that are searchable do not include permits issued solely for interior modification. The types of searchable permits include the following:
- Boarding up Certificate
- Change of Use
- Deck for Pool or Spa
- Demolition
- Emergency Generators
- Fences
- Manufactured Spa
- New Construction
- Outdoor Pool/Spa
- Pavers
- Pool Fence/Barrier
- Residential and Commercial Additions
- Roofing
Persons wishing to use Building Permit Locator to locate permits may do so by executing searches based on a neighborhood association, an address, a permit number or an owner name. All searches must be filtered by using a date range, and, if the user chooses, searches can be further filtered by permit type. The application will then show the locations of the permits returned from the search that was executed along with a list of information for each permit returned. The user can then print a map showing the locations of the permits that are returned. The information for each permit can also be printed directly from the website or downloaded to the user's computer in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. In sum, Building Permit Locator gives City residents the ability to track the location of external building and property permits at their leisure.

The Code Case Tracker is a web-based application that allows the user to search for code cases (violations and complaints) that have occurred within the past 12 months by either address or neighborhood association.
To search for code cases by neighborhood association, the user should first choose a neighborhood association from the drop down list, choose a date range, and click the GO button. The application will return the results of the search in the report tab. At this point, the user can click the “Open Table View of Cases” button to open a table of results. The case numbers displayed in the table of results are hyperlinked to the electronic code case documents. From the table, the user can also choose to export the table to a Microsoft Excel format by clicking the “Export To Excel” button in the top right hand corner.
To perform a code case search by address, the user should first enter their search address, choose a date range, and click the GO button. If the application is able to locate the address, a map will focus on the area of the address with related code case information being displayed in the report screen. Case numbers displayed in the results page are hyperlinked to the electronic code case document. If multiple cases have occurred at the address the user can then scroll through the cases by clicking the next and previous buttons. At this point the user can also select the “Print” tab in order to produce a printable map including the code case search results.
